Amora Adera ("we," "us," "our") is an independent fine jewelry house operated by Amora Adera Ltd. in Colorado, United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect through amoraadera.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information You Give Us

  • Contact details. Name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and billing address.
  • Order information. What you purchased, order value, and order history.
  • Payment information. Payment is processed by our payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Quiz responses. If you take our symbol quiz, we store your answers and the resulting symbol and region.
  • Correspondence. Messages you send us by email, through our contact form, or through our commissions inquiry form, including details you share about a custom project.
  • Account details. If you create an account, your login credentials and saved preferences.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage data. IP address, browser type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time on page, and links clicked.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Small files placed on your device that keep your cart working, remember preferences, measure site performance, and support advertising.
  • Email engagement. Whether you opened an email from us and which links you clicked.

How We Use Your Information

  • To process, fulfill, and ship your order, and to handle returns, repairs, and warranty questions
  • To respond to inquiries, including custom commission requests
  • To send marketing email if you have signed up, including new collection announcements, stories from The Archive, and occasional offers
  • To personalize what we send you. We use your quiz results and your browsing and purchase activity to group you into audience segments and tailor the content and products you see. This is profiling as that term is used in some privacy laws.
  • To show you our advertising on other platforms, including social media and search engines, and to show ads to people whose interests resemble those of our existing customers
  • To measure how our site and advertising perform
  • To detect and prevent fraud, and to comply with legal and tax obligations

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it with service providers who help us run the business, and with advertising platforms as described below.

  • Shopify hosts our online store and processes orders.
  • Payment processors handle payment authorization and fraud screening.
  • Klaviyo stores our email list and sends our marketing email. Your quiz results and purchase history are stored on your Klaviyo profile.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives information through the Meta Pixel installed on our site, which we use to measure advertising and to build custom and lookalike audiences.
  • Google receives information through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which we use to measure site performance and advertising.
  • Pinterest may receive information through its integration with our store.
  • Etsy, where we also sell, handles orders placed on that platform under its own privacy policy.
  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners receive the information needed to deliver your order.
  • Professional advisors and authorities where required by law, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.

Under California and Colorado law, using advertising cookies and pixels to show you ads on other sites may be considered "selling" or "sharing" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time. See Your Choices below.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, plus analytics cookies and advertising cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through the banner on our site, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent checkout from working.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required.

Your Choices

  • Marketing email. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email us and we will remove you.
  • Targeted advertising. Use the cookie preferences on our site to opt out of advertising cookies. You can also adjust ad settings directly with Meta and Google, or use the opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com.
  • Access, correction, and deletion. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@amoraadera.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
  • Appeal. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. Colorado residents may also contact the Colorado Attorney General.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

If You Are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom

Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (to fulfill your order), consent (for marketing email and non-essential cookies), and legitimate interests (to secure and improve the site). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Your information is stored in the United States. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses with our service providers.

How Long We Keep It

We keep order records for as long as required by tax and accounting law, generally seven years. We keep marketing contacts until you unsubscribe or ask to be deleted. We keep quiz responses for as long as you remain on our list. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's default retention period.

Children

Our site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a notice on the site.
