Projects may include custom engagement rings, heirloom engagement rings, wedding and anniversary pieces, symbolic heirlooms, and personal pieces. We also welcome heirloom jewelry redesign, resetting inherited stones and family gold into new pieces made to be worn again. While our signature language draws from history and symbolism, we take on a wide range of custom gold jewelry, bespoke jewelry, and unique engagement rings, from vintage inspired engagement rings and non traditional engagement rings to custom wedding bands, bohemian rings, custom pendants, and necklaces, always approached through our distinct design lens.

  • 1. Initial Inquiry

    Submit the inquiry form with any details you have, including the type of piece, budget, timeline, inspiration, or intended meaning.

  • 2. Discovery & Direction

    After review, we begin a conversation to better understand your style, preferences, and what you want the piece to feel like. You do not need to know exactly what you want before reaching out. Clarifying the direction of the piece is part of the process. Gifting a piece before it can be made? A gift certificate lets them choose.

  • 3. Stone Sourcing

    If your project requires stones, sourcing is available as part of the service. Options may include natural diamonds, lab grown diamonds, and a wide range of colored ethical gemstones, selected according to your design goals, preferences, and budget. We work with our diamond specialist partners and most likely can source you any stone you want. All stones are GIA/IGI certified.

  • 4. Design Development

    Once the direction is established, custom jewelry design begins with close attention to form, proportion, detail, and wearability. We begin by sharing inspiration references to better understand your taste and refine the design direction. From there, the concept is translated into a jewelry sketch, then developed into a more realistic digital version. As the design evolves, we work collaboratively through the finer details; always gathering your input, while also providing our recommendation on proportion, structure, and overall balance. You will also see photos of the 3D digitalized version and a 3D-printed model for approval before production.

  • 5. Finalization & Production

    After design and materials are confirmed, the piece moves into production. Timeline will vary depending on the complexity of the project and any sourcing requirements. But average timelines from start to in-hand are about 2 months.

  • 6. Delivery

    Once complete, the finished piece is prepared for delivery with care. For wedding bands and select bridal commissions, monogrammed jewelry boxes may also be arranged upon request.

How long does custom jewelry take from start to finish?
Most custom jewelry projects average about two months from first conversation to in hand delivery, moving through discovery, stone sourcing, custom jewelry design, a 3D printed model for your approval, casting, and hand finishing. Complex pieces or rare stone sourcing can extend the timeline, so for proposals and anniversaries we recommend reaching out about three months ahead of your date.
Can I request a rush order?
Sometimes, depending on the design and our current production calendar. Rush timelines are reviewed case by case and may carry an expedite fee. Share your date in the inquiry form and we will tell you honestly whether it can be met.
How much does a custom engagement ring cost?
Custom engagement rings and other bespoke jewelry projects are priced by metal weight, stone selection, and complexity. Most commissions begin around the price range of our signature collection, and a piece can be engineered toward your budget by adjusting metal, carat weight, or stone type, including lab grown diamonds. Share your budget in the inquiry and we will design within it.
What is the deposit and payment structure?
Custom projects begin with a fifty percent deposit to initiate design and stone sourcing, with the balance due upon final approval before delivery. We will confirm the exact structure for your project in writing before any work begins.
What if I do not know exactly what I want?
You do not need a finished vision to begin. Clarifying the direction of the piece is part of the process: we start with a conversation about your style and what you want the piece to feel like, then translate inspiration references into a sketch and a refined digital design together.
Will I see the design before it is made?
Yes, at every stage. The concept moves from a jewelry sketch to a realistic digital rendering developed by our Cartier trained CAD architect, and you will see photos of the 3D digital model and a 3D printed model for approval before anything is cast. Nothing goes into production without your sign off.
Can I reset heirloom stones or use my own gold?
Yes. Heirloom jewelry redesign is one of our favorite forms of commission: inherited diamonds and gemstones are assessed for integrity, then reset into a new piece made to be worn again. Client supplied gold can often be refined or credited depending on the project. Mention the heirloom in your inquiry and we will guide the assessment.
Where do you source diamonds and gemstones?
Through our diamond specialist partners, we can source natural diamonds, lab grown diamonds, and a wide range of ethically sourced colored gemstones. All diamonds are GIA or IGI certified, certification travels with the stone, and larger stones can be verified directly on the GIA or IGI registries.
Can we work together remotely?
Yes, most commissions happen remotely. Consultations are held virtually, designs and 3D renderings are shared digitally for approval, and finished pieces ship fully insured. Ring sizing guidance is provided before production so remote sizing is accurate.
What if the ring does not fit when it arrives?
If a sizing error is ours, meaning the ring arrives in a size different from the one you approved, we remake or resize it at no cost, always. If the ring matches your approved size but the fit is not what you expected, we will resize it at our exact cost from the casting house, passed through with no markup. Some designs, such as full pattern bands, have resizing limits, which we flag during design so your piece is built for adjustability from the start.
How is quality guaranteed?
Every piece is cast and finished by accredited American casting houses that produce for some of the largest jewelry houses in the country, and each piece is inspected before delivery. If a piece arrives with a defect in materials or craftsmanship, report it within 14 days and we will make it right. Diamonds arrive with their GIA or IGI certification, which we recommend registering in your name, and for long term protection we recommend third party jewelry insurance, we provide the documentation your insurer needs.
