INSIDE THE COLLECTION...

MARQUISE OF HORUS RING

A sculptural interpretation of the Eye of Horus, one of the most enduring protective symbols of the ancient world. In Egyptian mythology, Horus lost his left eye in a battle with Set while avenging his father Osiris. The eye was torn into six parts and later restored by Thoth, becoming a symbol of protection, restoration, and wholeness. Ancient Egyptians wore it as an amulet to guard against harm, misfortune, and the “evil eye.”

ETERNAL MOTHER PENDANT

The Eternal Mother Pendant distills thousands of years of feminine symbology into a single sculptural form. It draws on ancient iconography through an abstract depiction of Ahset, the Egyptian goddess later known as Isis, whose lineage extended across cultures through related archetypes including Hathor, Venus, Aphrodite, and echoes found in later sacred mother figures.

MESKEL RING

Inspired by the intricate geometry found in historic Ethiopian crosses. This pendant translates centuries-old design principles of interwoven Ethiopian cross patterns into a single sculptural form.

TIBEB SHIELD SIGNET

Inspired by protective diagrams found in ancient Ethiopian healing scrolls, traditionally created by revered Ethiopian spiritual scholars.

The geometric forms and four stones reference symbolic “watchers” (the four main arch angels), believed to guard the wearer and ward off misfortune. Reimagined in solid gold as a modern heirloom of protection.

MARQUISE OF HORUS PENDANT

A sculptural interpretation of the Eye of Horus, one of the most enduring protective symbols of the ancient world. In Egyptian mythology, Horus lost his left eye in a battle with Set while avenging his father Osiris. The eye was torn into six parts and later restored by Thoth, becoming a symbol of protection, restoration, and wholeness. Ancient Egyptians wore it as an amulet to guard against harm, misfortune, and the “evil eye.” A modern heirloom rooted in historical symbolism and enduring form.

This pendant is informed not only by its protective symbolism but also by the fractional system historically associated with the sign. In Egyptian tradition, the eye’s six component forms came to be linked with unit fractions: 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, and 1/64. These parts were associated with the senses and thought: Smell (Inner part); Sight (Pupil); Thought (Eyebrow); Hearing (Left side); Taste (Curved tail); Touch (Teardrop).

Together, those fractions intentionally total 63/64 rather than a complete whole, to represent the final missing part in us being divine completion, healing, or sacred restoration. In designing this pendant, we sought to honor those ancient mathematical proportions as closely as possible to honor the Eye of Horus's associations with protection, healing, balance, and renewed wholeness.

BEREKA PENDANT

“May blessing endure for all eternity. Amen.”
ālemi le’ālemi lezele’ālemi āmēni, bereket
አለም ለአለም ለዘለአለም አሜን - በረከት

Inspired by the silhouette of ancient Egyptian cartouches, this pendant reinterprets the form through an Ethiopian prayer inscribed in Amharic, and written in a figure 8 form, to symbolize eternity of blessings. Its rugged finish evokes ancient stone, giving the piece a worn, artifact-like presence. The result is a pendant that feels devotional, enduring, and quietly powerful.

TAUREG GUARDIAN HOOPS

Inspired by the symbolic jewelry traditions of the Tuareg people, indigenous to Morocco, North Africa. These hoops reinterpret a historic protective form through a fine-jewelry lens. The pointed ends, drawn from traditional earring silhouettes known as elkiss or eraf wa n tesabit, have long been associated with protection against the evil eye, misfortune, and illness.

This design preserves the original engraved character and distinctive pointed shape of the source form, while refining the scale into a more delicate, elevated version suited to modern luxury wear. The result is a piece that honors the cultural symbolism and anthropological significance of the original design while offering a sculptural, wearable expression of protection and prosperity.

TIBEB SHIELD PENDANT

Inspired by protective diagrams found in historic Ethiopian healing scrolls, this pendant ring draws on geometric forms traditionally created by priest scholars. These diagrams were used as visual symbols of protection, intended to guard the wearer and ward off misfortune similar to the blue Mediterranean "evil eye" symbol.

The eight-point structure references the wings of four guardian arch-angels, while the four stones are placed as symbolic “watchers,” a motif associated with vigilance and spiritual safeguarding in Ethiopian sacred art.
